Good software shouldn’t cost a bloody fortune

I keep pricing simple. You pay an upfront build cost based on what you actually need, then an affordable monthly fee for hosting, maintenance, updates and ongoing support.

One monthly fee. Less to worry about.

Your monthly subscription isn't just a maintenance charge. It covers the ongoing services needed to keep your website, app or software running, including agreed hosting and domain subscriptions, routine maintenance, security updates, bug fixes and technical support.

Starter — From $99/month

For smaller businesses and straightforward solutions that need reliable hosting, maintenance and occasional assistance.

Business — From $149/month

For growing businesses that need more regular changes, additional support and ongoing attention to their software.

Pro — From $249/month

For businesses relying on more complex systems that need higher-priority support, more frequent maintenance and regular improvements.

What isn't included?

Major new features, redesigns, substantial development work and premium third-party services are quoted separately. Any additional charges will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.

You run your business. I'll look after the technical side.

What are you actually paying for?

I believe software should make running your business easier, not give you another headache or a pile of unexpected bills.

That's why I split my pricing into two parts: a once-off build cost and an ongoing monthly subscription.

1. The upfront build cost

This covers the work involved in creating your software and getting it ready to use.

Depending on what your business needs, this can include:

  • Understanding your business and what you're trying to achieve.

  • Planning and designing your app, website or software.

  • Building the features and functions we've agreed on.

  • Setting up databases, user accounts and other necessary systems.

  • Testing everything and fixing problems before launch.

  • Getting your software up and running.

  • Showing you how to use and manage it.

The price depends on how complicated the project is. I'll discuss the requirements and provide a quote before starting, so you know what you're paying for.

2. The ongoing monthly subscription

Once your software is running, somebody still needs to look after it. That's where the monthly subscription comes in.

Depending on your solution, your subscription covers:

  • Website hosting and domain subscriptions — The hosting and domain renewal costs required for your website, where included in our agreement.

  • App and software hosting — Keeping your software online and accessible.

  • Maintenance — Looking after the technical side so everything continues working.

  • Security and updates — Applying necessary updates and security fixes.

  • Bug fixes — Fixing faults in the features we've built.

  • Backups and data management — Managing backups where supported by your solution.

  • Technical support — Helping when something isn't working or you need assistance.

  • Minor improvements — Small adjustments and updates within your agreed support plan.

You won't need to worry about managing multiple technical subscriptions yourself when they're included in your plan. I'll handle those arrangements as part of the service.

3. What about new features or major changes?

Businesses grow, and what works today might not be enough tomorrow.

Small adjustments may be covered by your monthly subscription, depending on your plan. Larger changes, new features, integrations or a complete redesign will be quoted separately.

I'll always discuss the cost with you before starting any additional paid work.

4. No unnecessary surprises

My aim is simple: build something useful, keep it affordable and make sure you have someone to turn to when you need help.

You focus on running your business. I'll look after the software.

Tell me what’s driving you nuts.

You don't need to know whether you need an app, website, automation or database. Tell me what isn't working, what's wasting your time, or what you'd like your business to do better. I'll work out the practical way to build it.
